The result looks very good, there are some variables to adjust for each specific picture, but it is possible to set some default values, or use the image as a resource to calculate the default value. For example, we can use the amount of light source in the image to select which reference image to use for histogram matching.


However, it still doesn't look too much like a science-fiction style image. We kind of want to improve it more. This time, we tried to add some perlin noise inside the picture, to simulate some foggy style in the picture.

This is a very subtle change, you wouldn't possible notice it if you don't compare it side by side, but I think that it is not a bad one.


Now, if we compare the image histogram for that, we can see the change that is super close to our reference
